Doctors

Dr Diviash Thakrar
Dr Diviash ThakrarMBBS, BsC(Hons), MRCGP ,DipCardio.
Dr Thakrar joined the practice in 1999. He is experienced in all areas of general practice and has keen interest in Cardiology. He works one day a week in Hillingdon Hospital in the cardiology department and is the Clinical Cardiology lead for the local authority. He enjoys general practice and can also do joint injections for shoulder problems.
Dr Shilpa Patel
Dr Shilpa Patel MBBS DCH DIPLOMA IN DIABETES CARE
Dr Patel has been with the practice since. 1999 .She is experienced in all areas of general practice, and has a special interest in diabetes, joint injections women’s health, babies, children, and adolescents. She runs our diabetes clinics . She is CCG lead for palliative care. .
Dr Saba Khalid
Dr Saba Khalid MBBS MRCGP DRCOG
Dr Saba Khalid qualified from Barts and the London in 2012 before completing her junior doctor rotations in East London. She completed GP training at University College Hospital in 2018 and has worked at a GP practice in Hampstead before moving to North West London in 2019. She enjoys spending time with her family, and when she gets the time she loves reading. She is happy for any book suggestions!
Dr Aanal Popat

Dr Popat joined the Practice in September 2016. She qualified from The University of Wales, College of Medicine, Cardiff in 2000 and then went on to complete her General Practice Training at King’s College Hospital, London in 2004. Dr Popat enjoys General Practice and has a particular interest in Dermatology.
Dr Q F Mirza

Dr Mirza completed her GP training in Watford General Hospital in 2008 and joined the practice in July 2009. Currently She works two sessions a week at the practice . She enjoys all aspects of General practice but has a special interest in Paediatrics and Women’s health
Dr Saima Nasser-Sheikh

Dr Saima Nasser-Sheikh qualified from University of Birmingham in 1999 and completed General Practice training in London as part of the Northwick Park VTS. She has been a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners since 2003. She has worked in General Practice in Harrow and Hillingdon as well as working abroad as a Family Medicine Specialist for a period of time. She has an interest in Lifestyle medicine and offers a holistic approach to disease prevention and management. Additionally,  she is trained in medical acupuncture. She enjoys cycling and swimming as well as spending time with friends and family.
Dr Sheema Habeebunissa Salim

Dr Salim joined the practice in January 2018 as a Salaried GP. She works Monday and Tuesdays at Acre and Thursdays at Acrefield. She did her GP training in Bromley. Her special interests include women’s health & paediatrics.
Dr Dhashi Thanapal

Dr Dhashi Thannapal qualified from Imperial College London in 2008 and completed my GP training with the University College London VTS scheme in 2013. Since then she has worked at her training practices in North London and had a year working in New Zealand and Sri Lanka. She recently moved back to Northwest London where she grew up. She enjoys hiking with her husband and 3 daughters and playing netball in the local league.

Pharmacist

Karishma joined the practice in June 2018. She qualified from Kings College London in 2006 and continued the pre-registration pharmacist training in community pharmacy. She continued working in community pharmacy for 10 years and developed clinically as a Macmillan information pharmacist and also as an advanced practitioner. In 2017 Karishma studied further at Keele university and under supervision of Dr. Shilpa Patel to become and Independent pharmacist
Prescriber with a special focus on diabetes.
She now works in the surgery three days a week as a clinical prescribing pharmacist. Main areas include medication reviews, medicines Management, telephone consultations, triage for minor ailments, diabetes clinics and increasing the quality and safety of prescribing mechanisms in the surgery.

Parminder Singh
Parminder SinghHealth Care Assistants
As current role Parminder is doing Diabetics review, Asthma review, Hypertension review, wound dressing, spirometer & NHS health check including lifestyle and dietary advice. He is also available for Flu, Pneumococcal, and Shingle & B12 injections. He enjoys time with his friend and cultural programs outside the surgery.
Jayna Maniar
Jayna ManiarHealth Care Assistant
Jayna Maniar has been working with Acre /Acrefield Surgery since August 2018 as a Health Care Assistant/Administrator. Her main role is –24 hours BP monitoring, BP checks, Diabetic Foot checks and other administrative roles. She has been trained under both the GPs to become a Healthcare Assistant. She says: “I enjoy my work and I am always available to provide support in the best interest of patients and can describe myself as a friendly and approachable member of the team”.
Mark Nettle
Mark NettleHealth Care Assistant
Mark Nettles is the HCA Lead in Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Reviews. His additional roles include diabetes Lifestyle Counselling & Diabetic Foot Assessments, Hypertension and Hypercholesterolemia. He enjoys the outdoors hill walking and keeps fit by running, cycling, weights and he has a keen interest in nutrition.

Alex Leung

Alex Leung is a fellow of Royal Society of Public Health (FRSPH), the Head of Travel Medicine and Allergy services at six GP surgeries and pharmacies, a member of The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (MRPharmS) and an affiliate member in Travel Medicine of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Professionally, Alex is also a Specialist Pharmacist Independent Prescriber and one of the first pharmacists in London for becoming an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP), who has a similar clinical and professional duties and responsibilities as an ANP or GP, in the UK.

Alex is a Specialist Travel Clinic and Yellow Fever Centre Trained Pharmacist. He is also Allergy Screening Service and Food Intolerance Centre Trained. Alex has significant clinical, managing and operating experience in Travel Clinic, Food Intolerance Clinic and Allergy Clinic in GP surgeries and Pharmacies.
His special interests are Travel and Preventative Medicine (Vaccinations and Anti-malarial), Independent Prescribing, Diabetes, Public Health, Allergy and Food Intolerance Screening Services.
